Braking Distances
Despite government advertising, most motorists are shocked to find out the true stopping distances of their vehicles. The Higway Code outlines typical stopping distances for vehicles with fully functional brakes. Mr Clutch would like to share this information with you.
It is important to remember that these stopping distances are vehicles with brakes in good condition and on dry roads. Wet or icy roads can increase the distance considerably. Also worn or wearing brakes can drastically increase the distance. It is therefore essential to ensure you have good quality brakes to ensure your road safety.
As standard we offer a free brake check if you have any concerns and as part of our Silver, Gold & Gold Plus Servicing tiers we will report on the condition of brake drums and discs and give you a numeric meausurement of any wear on your brake pads.
