Servicing Maintenance Plan

It can be all to easy to put that essential car service off for a month or two because bills build up, something unexpected happens or you just simply don't have the money.  Everybody hates spending money on things they don't want to, but the simple fact is that it is important to have your vehicle serviced on an annual basis.

We want to help you do this by helping you plan your vehicle maintenance costs for the year.  There are three areas that you should be planning for and these are your mot, annual service and a small contingency pot just incase anything unexpected happens or you need additional work doing.

We reccommend that you put all your costs together and set them aside each month so that it makes the payments manageable.  For example if you have a vehicle with a 1.6 litre engine, your annual maintenace costs would look something like this:

MOT £25 (Typical Mr Clutch discounted price)
         Gold service £129.95
         Contingency £100

         Total          £254.95

If you break this figure down it comes out to a realistic monthly total of £21.25 and if you can find a way of putting this money away then you will make it possible to have your vehicle properly serviced and maintained every year.
