We’re Mr Clutch Autocentres and we’re a nearly 50-year-old, family-owned business offering a wide range of car garage repairs and services – SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST CLUTCHES. We’re a family-owned business who have been operating for nearly 50 years - since 1978 – so you could say that we’ve stood the test of time! The brothers who started the business in a train arch in 1978, Joe and Will, still head up the business today, along with their younger brother Sef, and the brothers still have the same passion and commitment as they did on day one.
Given that we’re family-owned, we have family-values at our core, meaning that we treat our customers and their vehicles with the utmost respect and consideration. Our Managing Director, Joe Yussuf, has written our Customer Charter which demonstrates both his, and the organisations’, commitment to great customer service.
Trading Standards Approved Code & Retail Motor Industry Federation
We actively subscribe to the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI), which includes membership to the Independent Garage Association, and their prestigious Trust My Garage scheme.
This scheme means that we’ve been assessed to meet the highest standards, and follow the Trust My Garage Code of Practice, which The Chartered Trading Standards Institute has approved, and you can even verify our membership on their website right now.
This subscription also gives our customers access to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), through the National Conciliation Service, so in the very unlikely event that you’re not happy with the service you receive, there’s an entirely independent body that you can turn to.

We have over 40 branches nationwide, so we likely have one near to you. You can use our handy Branch Locator Tool to find your closest branch, along with their address and contact details too, and they can’t wait to speak with you.
To prove our confidence in the work we undertake, we offer a minimum of a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty for all repairs that we undertake on non-commercial vehicles. And given that we’re the clutch experts (it’s literally in our name!), we extend that to a 2 year or 20,000 mile warranty for clutch replacements on non-commercial vehicles.
